WINE MARGARITAS
Wine Margaritas are perfect for people who prefer a milder version of this potent drink. Restaurants around Southern California without hard liquor licenses invented them -- for obvious reasons! TROPICAL FRUIT MARGARITAS
These totally tropical, spring or summer Margaritas are easy to make in your blender. Fun, tasty and refreshing, this recipe serves four and it's guaranteed to instantly transport you to somewhere south of the Tropic of Cancer! Facebook is Pi**ing Me off!
My facebook account was compromised on Friday. Someone hacked into my account and sent a IM message to one of my listed friends. I had her go to my wall and her wall and post a message to let all of our friends know about it. I then went into Facebooks "list of things to do if compromised"; I changed my password for facebook and all of my email accounts. When I tried to go into facebook today it says my account has been deactivated. I tried to contact them to let them know I had done all of the password changes and there is no where to contact them. All you get is a list of Q & A's to read. I finally found a place in the help section and sent them a message only to get an answer saying they have to confirm I am the owner of the account before they can do anything. I am still waiting!! I am having BeJeweled withdrawl!

Headaches!
I hate headaches! I know everyone does, but I REALLY hate them. I have suffered from them since I was 5 years old. The last 7 or so days I have been waking up every night and suffering through them for 2 hours during the night. I had hoped they were not the clusters again. Ya, I suffer with clusters too; on top of sinus, tension, migraines, and some aggravated from the arthritis in my neck. I finally decided they were not (yeah!) clusters when it did not respond to a DHE45 shot. So I ended up at the Doc-in-the-Box with my self diagnosis and she agreed. After looking at my red throat and red and swollen sinuses she gave the shot of steroids I requested and a prescription for antibiotics, which I did not request. I went to have the prescription filled at Wal-mart, not my normal place, and remember the DR is not my usual either. Neither place had all the list of all the stuff I am allergic to. The pharmacist did ask about allergies, but I wasn't feeling the greatest and couldn't remember them all. When I went to pay, not only was it almost $100.00 it was one I was allergic to. I called my regular DR and updated the list; it was then switched to a $4.00 one. NOW my question...If they could prescribe $4.00 drugs WHY are DRs still prescribing expensive ones???? The Drs warning about not sleeping and being hungry from the steroid shot was true, but at least I like to eat and was not awake most of last night from pain!! Sinus headaches suck! If you are suffering from one defiantly go and get a shot so it will go away. It shrinks the membrane in the sinuses and relieves the swelling in your head. I will turn in my DR licence now. Have a good one. Off to try to get my car air conditioner fixed.

Teble and family are moved in!!!
While Teble and fellow teachers enjoyed a trip to Washington DC, Dan, her brother Mike, nephew Jacob, her kids and I emptied the 2 PODS today and emptied 2 garages, a patio and several rooms in my house yesterday. All of their stuff is in the house....it may not be in the right rooms and it may not be assembled, but it is there! Just like a blister she showed up right after we carried in the last item.
My back is a little sore, and I have soaked in the tub already, so I just plan to rest and read the last few hours of today. In the morning I will take apart and deliver the bed her dad used out in the garage while they stayed here. He is very happy to live in the house again. BUT he also figured out a way to avoid helping with the move. He conveniently had a car show that lasted all day today!!!! Maybe I can get some help out of him tomorrow. I am sure Mike is very sore tonight too, he had to do landscaping this morning before he came to help.
It will take me months to get our house back in order, but it was worth getting them moved up here. Now they are only 4 miles away instead of 40. Off to rest.

Whoa!!!! Too much going on!
Teble and Dan have sold the house, and it is a good thing Dan is out of work (who ever thought that would be a good thing???) because they only have until May 21 to pack it all up and Teble gets out of school on May 22. We have been looking at lots of houses, but nothing that screams "BUY ME!!!" yet. On top of that my mom is coming to town on May 12th and I am taking her to Branson MO to see her sisters, who are coming over from England for a visit. We will be gone when they will need my help packing and watching kids the most. They were going to watch Izzy while I was gone and now Mickey will be watching Izzy and Lily!!
Teble is 40 today, so she got a "big girl" haircut. She had 10-11 inches of hair cut off to donate to Locks of Love. Here are the before and afters.
The light over her head looks like one of the "I have a good idea bulbs" , because I know it is not a HALO!
She keeps saying she is old now, but she can't be because I am not!!! Unless the next 2 weeks makes me that way!
Better get back to making school lunches for the boys; only 13 more school days left!

Rock Climbing in Chattanooga
My friend Karen, her daughter Morgan, Jacob, Ryan, Aaron and I went to Chattanooga today. First we went to visit Rock City where Ryan decided to try rock climbing. He got about 1/2 way up, got nervous and repelled down. Next came Jacob who got about as far as Ryan had, he had trouble lifting his leg for the next foot hold and repelled down.
Then Aaron wanted to try. I said no because the bigger boys had so much trouble and the big ole tears started to fall...... I couldn't hand the guy my $5.00 quick enough! Aaron ended up going past where the other two boys went; not to the top but still further! Then the big brave rock climbers went to visit the Easter Bunny!
Jacob and Morgan decided they were too big the the Easter Bunny, we settled on just a bench shot of them. After Rock City we finally found the zoo. If you haven't gone before, don't bother! If you must visit it, go on Wed when it only cost $1.00 a person to get in. Sorry Chattanooga, but your zoo is not much and it is very hard to find. We walked around the older part of Chattanooga before stopping
in Murfreesboro to go to the Red Lobster for dinner. Ryan and Aaron are now converts after tasting the cheesy, garlic biscuits; YUM!!! Finally got home around 10:00 PM after dropping off the boys. What a long day and lots of driving. Izzy is pooped after spending the day watching Teble and Dan work in their yard and playing with her friend Lily. Time to say, " Good night!"

Stupid Weather!!
What is the deal!!! Why does it have to get so cold every Spring when I get the gardening bug? I finally get into the weed pulling mood and get motivated and used to being active again and WHAM...it get cold again. I worked digging up Bermuda Grass on the side flower bed only to watch the torrential rain wash all my loamy dirt to the end of the yard. I got more (not as good) dirt and finished digging up weeds and volunteer shrubs so that I could try to plant flowers and mulch ahead of the next storm. I go a lot done but didn't finish before the rain so I piled all the dirt and mulch bags around the bed to keep the new dirt from washing away. I had to move all the new flowers I bought into the garage to keep them from freezing... the garage looks nice! Now I need to get the Easter stuff down so I can stuff the eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt, of course it is suppose to rain Sunday evening. Teble in right God must have a sense of humor.

Spring!

I love this time of year, minus the pollen! I love getting out and pulling weeds, cleaning out the flower beds, going to garden centers to look at what is new, walking without a coat, seeing the flowers bloom and anticipating summer. What I hate about this time of year is the up and down temperatures and the storms. I bought my first plant of the season, a red Mandevilla. I just couldn't pass it up at the flea market this weekend. I am already getting the planting bug, I have seeds and build to plant, more weeds to pull and a front yard to plan. We had all the bushes dug up 2 years this summer and we have to plan what we are going to put in. We need to move all the rocks and build 2 small retaining walls, and choose drought tolerant plants. I just hope my feet and back make it through he whole season. Yeah the sun is out today so I can go dig up dandelions!

What's in a name?
Picture of Me, Donna, Debi and DavidI was laying awake at 4:30 this morning thinking for some unknown reason about names. I will start with Mickey's dad John Walter Collier, he goes by John, Mickey called him Daddy and for a while Honey, because that is what he heard him called, now he goes by Paw Paw to just about everyone. Mickey's mom was named an old southern name, Edna Erle (Strickland), her friends call her by both, her boys did not call her mom or mommy it was Mother; if knew her you would know this fit, she now goes by Nanny, even by her kids. My mom was named Evelyn Patricia (Mahoney) she is sometimes called Evie by a few friends, but mostly goes by Evelyn. She was Mom to us and our friends, Grama to her grandkids until great-grandson Jacob was born and he started calling her Colorado Grama, even though she now lives in Vegas. My dad was named David Duane Goins, he had lots of nick names; Dave, Buddy, Yogi, and Chief (he was a chief in the navy), I am sure there were more but I can't think of any right now. He was Dad to us and started out as Grampa when it was just my kids, when the other grandkids came along he became Poppa. Mickey was named Michael Wayne, but was always called Mickey, until he went to work at Dictaphone and the guy interviewing him called him Mike, he never corrected it. It came in handy when he was at home goofing off and work would call looking for "Mike"! He is Dad to his kids unless Teble wants something and then he is "Daaddddy", Grampa to his 3 favorite boys and Daddy to Izzy. I thought I was name Patricia after my mom, but Dad said I was named after an old girlfriend, who knows! My full name is Patricia Laetta Bernedetta (saint name) and if Dad was mad he added Somona Goins Olives. He had a warped sense of humor; guess that is where I get it. I added Collier 40 years ago. Jacob can actually remember it all; Patricia Laetta Bernedetta Somona Goins Collier! I was Patsy growning up and the aunts and cousins still call me that, Mickey does too sometimes. I was Mom to the kids, and almost 15 years ago became Grama, I am Momma to Izzy. The good part about being in the navy and moving a lot means you can change your name and spelling. I became Pat. Teble put her hand on her hip when she was around 3 and told me, "You're not my momma, you're just plain ole Pat!" My sister Donna became Nanna, sister Debi who was named Deborah, was Debbie growing up until she moved to a new school and decided to change the spelling to Debi, now she is Grammy Debi. Brother David Duane was called Junior sometimes, but grew up as Davey; he has really outgrown that cutsy name. Since Mickey and I had such common names we were looking for an unusual name for our first child. We were watching a movie "And Then Came Bronson" and thought the girls name was Teble, it was Temple, but we liked Teble. We probably should have spelled it with two Bs. My parents were still overseas when she was born and only saw it in print, they thought it was pronounced TEE BLEE, it sounds like pebble. My dad called her Terrible Annie. She wanted to go by Ann for a while, but I wouldn't go along with it. No telling what her students call her! Our son was named Micheal Wayne Collier JR, in that good ole southern tradition of Juniors. I wanted to name him Steven Michael. I didn't want to call him Mike because Mickey used it at work so I called him Michael which lasted until he went to Jr High and the kids started calling him Mike; phone calls got confusing after that! Jennifer and Mike wanted to name Jacob Nathanial, but I pointed out that his cousin who was named Matthew and was already being called Matt would cause people to change Nathanial to Nat. No one liked Nat so he is Jacob Lee (the Lee is after our friend). Our other 2 grandsons are actually called by their names too. Ryan Daniel (named for his dad Dan) and Aaron David (named for my dad). Our nephew who was named for Paw Paw, was named John Curtis and is not called either! He goes by Curt. Princess Dog Izabelle Noel (Izzy) was not named after some TV person, but she must be a popular one because there are a lot of Izzy's running around lately! This all leads up to all the unusual names in our family. I guess I started it with Teble. Sister Debi name her oldest B.J.Thomas, he has since changed the B.J. to Billy Joe, because he was told he could not have initials for a name on a drivers license. Next was Dustin Lee who was suppose to be Dustin Hoffman and lucky for him Debi changed her mind at the last minute, then daughter Tomara Charity. B.J's kids are Raven Evette Moonflower, Micha Harvest Moon, & Sequoya (something) Moon! Tomara changed the spelling of her daughters name from Riley to Rylee. Makes Teble Ann look somewhat normal doesn't it!

Getting to know me.
I've been a daughter of Evelyn and David Goins for 57 years, wife to Mickey (yes the '65 Litton grad!) for 40 years, and a mom to Teble and Mike forever, Grama to Jacob 14, Ryan 11, and Aaron 8, and am currently the willing slave to Izzy our spoiled princess. I am also the "treat lady" to grand-dog Lily, sister to Donna, Debi, and David, Aunt Pat & Great Aunt (and I do mean GREAT!) to 8 nieces and nephews and 15 grand ones. I am involved in Key to the City; a wonderful group of ladies who like to have fun and help local charities at the same time. I grew up a Navy Brat and am proud of it. I had a wonderful opportunity to travel the world and loved it. I still love to travel and Mickey and I have been lucky enough to do a lot of traveling in our 40 years together. Mickey and I met in San Miguel, Philippines in 1968, while my dad and Mickey were in the navy. While I was there I went to George Dewey High in Subic Bay. We had a great time going snorkeling at the Capone Islands, watching the sunset from the balcony of the Nepa Hut on the beach, bowling in the 2 lane bowling alley, going to the outdoor movies, swimming everyday, and getting to know each other without TV! We have a had a fun-filled life so far and are looking forward to many more years watching our family grow and enjoying each other.

Selling Books on Ebay
This is my first bog!
I decided to write about something that is still kinda new to me; selling on Ebay.
I dedided I had way too many books and thought maybe it would be a way to make money; NOT!
By the time I get the books organize by authors, take or find pictures, write or find a book review, research a good selling price, list it on ebay, and then if it sells, send an invoice, make a label, package the books/books, and mail them, I might have made $.50 - $2.00 per book after ebay and pay-pal fees.
I decided that I needed to find more valuable items to sell, so I listed some of the scaves I like to crochet and necklaces I make...NOTHING! I did get rid of a couple of my extra Red Hat items, but none of the collectables I listed. HOW do people actually make money doing this? I set it up on auctiva and tried to set it up where the items would show up if googled, so far I have never seen one on google.
I have a large table set up in my craft/playroom with one end filled with books that are listed and the other with tons more to list. I guess I better get back to my day job.
Anyone want to buy a book???
Thanks for stopping by my first blog!
